650r Signal Minder

I added a signal minder to the bike, so the turn signals would automatically cancel. As a bonus, this enables the signal lights to function as always-on markers. Unfortunately, this turned out to be incompatible with the signal lights I later added to the Givi box, so I disabled that. The self canceling turn signals also ended up being unnecessary. Finally, the Vectra Lights were never very bright and died after a year. Oh well.

  • This is the installed Signal Minder. The silver box is the minder, velcroed to the fairing. The mass of wires are mostly the wires that run to the VectraLights. The red connector (included with the kit) is tapping the left signal light for the running light option.

  • I've mounted the lights far enough forward so that I cannot see them when riding. They are bright enough when it is dark that they would be very distracting.
